Introduction Heart attack is one of the main causes that lead to death in many countries. It is a serious medical emergency occurs when there is a block in the blood supply to the heart. Therefore, the blood movements of the heart decrease or stop and the heart begin to die. There are many factors that lead to heart attack but we can minimize this chance by different ways. About Heart The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood around the body. Causes of heart attack One of the most frequent causes of heart attack is the major risk factors that we can’t change which are: †¢ Heredity: is when your family has a history of having heart disease therefore, you will be more possible to have it. †¢ Gender: many people think women don’t get heart attack but its causes for both women and men. However, it affects differently men under age 60 years old are more possible to have a heart attack than women in their same age. †¢ Age: it can’t be changed and older people (over 65) are at more risk and they are expected to die from heart attack. Although, it’s common in men who over age 45 and women over age 55. One the other hand, they are major risk factors that can be changed or we can regulate it. It affects us because of our lifestyle choices and they are: †¢ Smoking: smoking results the blood to clot and make the artery that carry blood contracted hence it will effect on the heart, lung and circulatory system.
